THE ACADEMY
MO Tennis Academy was founded on a simple belief: tennis has the power to transform lives. Based in San Diego with two locations, we provide world-class coaching for players of every age and ability.

BUILT BY ACHAMPION.
Founded by Michelle Okhremchuk — former National Champion of Ukraine, Division I NCAA athlete, and graduate of the world-renowned Mouratoglou Academy in France, home to legends like Serena Williams.
At the University of Nevada she set the all-time record for most wins in program history and held the #1 ranking in Southern California's Women's Open Division. Today, she's the 2019 RSPA Player of the Year and a RSPA-certified coach.
“I coach to help players grow beyond tennis — to become confident, resilient, and proud of who they're becoming both on and off the court.”
MY STORY
Where it started.
Growing up in Ukraine, life was often black and white, with limited opportunities for young athletes. At six years old, Michelle picked up a racquet — and it quickly became her world.
Mouratoglou Academy.
Sent to train at one of the world's top academies — home to legends like Serena Williams. International travel, European tournaments, the daily rhythm of a professional environment.
Division I dream.
A courageous move across the Atlantic to chase Division I college tennis. Set the all-time win record at the University of Nevada and held the #1 ranking in Southern California's Women's Open Division.
The Academy.
RSPA-certified coach and 2019 RSPA Player of the Year. Now building MO Tennis Academy — a development environment where every player gets the structure, honesty, and pathway Michelle had to build for herself.

THE STORY BEHINDMO TENNIS ACADEMY.
Tennis has shaped every part of who I am.
I didn't just play the sport — I lived it.
I trained like a professional from a young age, competing at a high level, traveling, and pushing through the demands that come with it. I trained in elite environments, including Mouratoglou Academy, and ranked among the top junior players in Europe.
Later, I continued my journey in the U.S., earning a full scholarship and playing Division I college tennis, competing at the No. 1 position all four years, setting the all-time winning record in school history, and winning multiple national championships.
From the outside, it looked like success.
But what stayed with me most wasn't just the results.
It was everything behind them.
I experienced different coaching styles. Different environments. Different expectations.
I had moments of confidence and moments where I questioned everything.
I had coaches who helped me grow and moments where I felt misunderstood.
I had a difficult parent dynamic that shaped how I handled pressure, competition, and myself.
And over time, I started to understand something deeper:
Every player has their own story. Their own pressure. Their own way of learning. Their own relationship with the sport.
And that's something most coaching systems don't fully see.
That realization is what shaped me as a coach.
Today, as the Head Coach of the Southwestern College Women's Tennis Team and the founder of MO Tennis Academy, I approach coaching differently.
I don't just look at how a player hits a ball.
I look at how they think. How they respond. How they feel on the court.
Because real development doesn't come from repetition alone.
It comes from the right environment.
- challenged, but not overwhelmed
- supported, but still accountable
- guided, but allowed to grow
At MO Tennis Academy, the goal is not just to create better players.
It's to help people build confidence, discipline, and independence through the process of the sport.
Because tennis, when done right, becomes something much bigger than the game.
It becomes part of who you are.
And that's what I'm building.
